Classical Venturi

The classical Venturi tube lends itself for highly accurate flow measuring. lts special design implies its use in cases where pressure loss is to be kept low. lt is, for instance, applied in the field of flue-gas flow measurement. The differential pressure is read by means of several pressure tappings inserted in the tube's circumference in regular distances.

Classical Venturi tubes are available in nearly all DN, and, depending on the respective diameter, up to PN ]00. The overall length has, as a principle, to be computed. As a rough rule for the overall length, however, applies the formula 5 x D.
